Where do you stand
What is your point of view
Are you all about conflict or peace
Building walls or tearing them down
Malcolm X or Martin
Half full or empty
The way it is or can be?
The KKK or peaceful integration
Treatment of Disease or encouraging Wellness
Pro active or reactive
I stand in All is Well
I stand in Peace
I stand that Love will find a way
I stand in empty and meaningless
And the world of possibility
For Inspirational Leadership
For Fellowship and Grace
I know that I Cannot do it all
But I have seen the work of God
And know that he can handle it.
What’s your point of view?
How does it color your world?
What filters do you look through?
What if you took all them off
What if you stood in All is Well
What would be possible if you stood for love?
When you start from Generosity, ALL IS POSSIBLE!
I took the wrong turn
And ended up where I belonged
I drank a smoothie and listened
To God speak to me thru Paradise by the Dashboard light
I needed to speak and all obstacles were removed
The dog got sick and I realized I had to choose to let go not of him
But what I was hanging on to
When you live with your eyes wide open…the Angels dance about your feet
The clouds clear showing you the sun
And all the heavens rejoice
In your coming alive
When you live with eyes wide open
The world stands still
And turns all its attention toward you
Feel blessed for these moments
Cherish for God is smiling and showering you with her heart
Isn’t it interesting that the trauma of your life and the cause of all of your concerns are but a footnote in the lives of others. We are all so wrapped up and our own concerns, it is amazing that we see anything at all.
It’s a wonder that we don’t all have black eyes from walking into stuff.
In the movie, “the Grey”, The lead actor faced many demons including the actual wolves hunting him and killing his colleagues one by one.
“Once more into the greatest fight I have ever known. Live and die on this day, live and die on this day” his dad had written and became his rallying cry.
Are you willing to fight to the death?
There are many who do that every day on this planet of ours.
There are others who run from the battle and hide in their desires and addictions. In their concerns, and stories. They drown themselves in those substances that numb the pain.
I too was one of those people for too many years, willing to not face that to which I needed to face.
Today though is a different story. Today I am willing to not only face my demons, but I am also willing to go into battle with them.
My teacher said that you need to have a Warrior Soul to do that.
I guess it is only fitting that one of my favourite movies is the Warriors – not a lot of great lines – but a great willingness to bop their way back to Coney Island.
As I embark on this quest, I am reminded of a line from the movie the Ninth Warrior – when at the end facing the most difficult battle of his life
for all that I done and left undone, please forgive me, please let me live the next few moments well”
I am ready – lets go!
Say not, “I have found the truth,” but rather, “I have found a truth.”
Say not, “I have found the path of the soul.” Say rather, “I have met the soul walking upon my path.”
For the soul walks upon all paths.
The soul walks not upon a line, neither does it grow like a reed.
The soul unfolds itself, like a lotus of countless petals.~ Kahlil Gibran
I see now that I am an artist
It is not what I do to make a living
But it is the thing that gives me life
I see that I take my inspiration from
I follow no formula – at least one
not yet revealed
I breathe in…life
I breathe out…art
My job as an artist is to write
It is the thing I must do
for the doing of it allows
Spirit to flow through
For the not doing of it
cuts me off from the inside
From the other side
It is my job to find the time
To create each and every day
It is my job to create the space
to allow the divine to flow through

As travellers, they drift by
heading with the wind like a
caravan across the desert
At times revealing light while
they cover the beyond foretelling
Of what is to come.
I feel close enough to touch them
yet feel no need to hitch a ride,
For it is here I need to be
Watching, observing and being amazed.
